I currently serve as Assistant Professor at the research group of Applied Economics, Marketing and Development – School of Agriculture, Policy and Development at University of Reading (United Kingdom). After earning a B.S. and a M.Sc. in Food Science and Technology from University of Bologna (Italy) in 2002, I worked for several years as Project Manager for Emilia Romagna Regional Government and as Marketing Manager for a food industry. During 2007 – 2008, I have been enrolled for six months as Visiting Researcher at the Department of Food, Agriculture and Resource Economics of University of Guelph (Canada). In 2009, I received a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from the University of Guelph (Canada) and University of Bologna (Italy). My first job out of graduate school was as a Post-Doc at University of Bologna for 2 years and at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice (Italy) for 1 year. In 2013, I moved to Nofima AS and Norwegian University of Life Science (Norway) where I served as Marie Curie Research Fellow. During 2017, I have spent six months as Visiting Researcher at the Department of Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness at University of Arkansas (United States). I am also Co-Director of my family farm specialized in fruit and vegetable production in Italy as well as consultant for agrifood marketing, new food product development, consumer test and agribusiness start-up.
My mains interest deal with behavioural and experimental economics, neuroeconomics, consumer research methods, new food product development, agrifood marketing and economics of food.
